Section 133
Control and responsibility for arms, ammunition and other military equipment
(1) The Commander-in-Chief shall be in charge of the control of the weapons, equipment and other military materials of the Nepalese Army subject to the arrangements set by the Government of Nepal.
(2) If it is necessary to purchase arms, equipment and other military equipment for the Nepali Army, the Commander-in-Chief shall submit the details to the Ministry of Defense along with the confirmation thereof. Regarding the details obtained in that way, it should be submitted to the National Security Council to be recommended to the Council of Ministers for policy decisions.
(3) The Commander-in-Chief may order that the Nepali Army's weapons, equipment and other military material under his charge be made available to any part of the Nepali Army under his control and responsibility in accordance with the prevailing laws and instructions given by the Government of Nepal.
(4) The Commander-in-Chief may hand over the weapons, equipment and other military equipment of the Nepalese Army to any body other than the Nepalese Army with the approval of the Government of Nepal.
(5) The Commander-in-Chief shall submit the updated details of the arms, ammunition and other military equipment of the Nepalese Army to the Ministry of Defense every 6/6 months and apart from that, it shall be the duty of the Commander-in-Chief to submit the updated details whenever requested by the Ministry of Defense.
(6) The Commander-in-Chief shall have the right to deduct the arms and ammunition spent for the work and training of the army, and the Ministry of Defense shall have the right to deduct the arms and ammunition spent on other works.
